Her Team Her Dream

This isn’t the beginning of our journey—our story started back in 2023. But this is the start of us documenting our adventures, sharing the highs, the lows, and everything in between. So, consider this the first chapter, where we take you along for the ride as we explore the incredible world of sports.

How It All Began

Our journey began modestly, with a focus on women’s football. It’s a space that’s often brimming with talent, passion, and unforgettable moments. Andrea and I decided to dive in, and what started as a casual interest quickly turned into something much bigger. But we’re not stopping there. We want to explore all kinds of sports, from the mainstream to the niche, and share our experiences with you.

The First Step: Liverpool Women

The timing of Andrea asking that question couldn’t have been better—Liverpool Women were set to face Everton at the iconic Anfield stadium. What better way to start our journey than at one of the most famous football grounds in the world?

But as life often goes, plans changed. Instead of Anfield as our first match, I was lucky enough to win tickets through Sky VIP for Liverpool Women vs. Aston Villa at Prenton Park. Andrea and I went, and from that moment, we were hooked. The atmosphere, the passion, the sheer joy of being part of something bigger—it was infectious. We left with what we now call “Football Fever” (a term borrowed from a fantastic kids’ book my son adores).

The Snowball Effect

From there, our adventures snowballed. Anfield was next on the list, and this time, Martin joined us. The experience of watching a game at such a historic stadium was unforgettable. But we didn’t stop there. We started going to as many games as we could—whether it was Manchester United vs. Manchester City at Old Trafford (Andrea went with my Brother), Manchester United Women at Leigh Sports Village (where Willem joined us for the first time), Manchester City Women at the Joie Stadium, or even Accrington Stanley Women at the Wham Stadium.

Beyond Football: Boxing and Beyond

Our journey isn’t just limited to football. Martin and I were incredibly fortunate to score floor seats through Sky VIP for the Natasha Jonas vs. Mikaela Mayer boxing match at the Liverpool Echo Arena. It was a completely different experience—raw, intense, and electrifying. It reminded us that sport, in all its forms, has the power to bring people together and create unforgettable memories.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. Andrea and I are on a mission to explore the vast world of sports, from the grassroots level to the biggest stages. We want to share the stories, the emotions, and the lessons we learn along the way. Whether it’s football, boxing, or something entirely unexpected, we’re ready to dive in.
